Founded in 1985 by several industry professionals, the Multi-level Marketing International Association (MLMIA) is the not-for-profit, professional trade organization of the industry. According to the MLMIA it is the only organization in direct selling whose members serve all areas of the network marketing/direct selling/multi-level marketing industry.
With the DSA well in trenched and the DSWA rising quickly as an association power the MLMIA is beginning to lose ground in the fight to remain relevant in direct selling.
